Intelligent Precision Searching (iPS)When looking for a particular scripture or quote, do you ever feel like you are searching for a needle in a haystack? Perhaps, when using other gospel study software, you’ve become frustrated by the overwhelming amount of data or a large number of search results you got from a particular query. Maybe some of what you found wasn’t even related to your topic. The LDS Collector’s Library solves that problem with Intelligent Precision Search. Intelligent Precision Search technology, or iPS, is the heart and soul of the LDS Collector’s Library 2006. Not only is this search faster than any previous product on the market, but it is also far more precise. Increased precision is attained by performing searches at the paragraph or verse level instead of finding results in an entire document or chapter. Increased precision means your searches are much more likely to return highly relevant matches.
Unique to the 2006 Edition, the Library has been programmed to place the most authoritative references at the top of your search results. So, in any multi-volume search, citations from the scriptures appear first, followed by writings of the prophets, Conference Reports and so forth. Within the Standard Works, Book of Mormon references appear first, followed by the Doctrine and Covenants, Pearl of Great Price, New Testament and finally, the Old Testament. When conducting a new search, you instantly see the number of results BEFORE you actually submit your search, including where the results are located. You can easily limit your search to specific collections or works or search the entire library. Reviewing the results of your search is easy and immediately immerses you in the most important content related to your topic. |
